Andrey Mikoni manages the firm’s key projects in bankruptcy, corporate disputes, banking, and financial law. He has extensive experience in representing cases before superior courts and international commercial arbitration tribunals.
Under Andrey Mikoni’s leadership, the Firm’s litigation practice has been consistently recognized by independent rating agencies as one of Russia’s leading practices for over a decade.
He is a member of the Expert Advisory Council for Constitutional Law and State Building under the Federation Council Committee.
Since 2017, Andrey Mikoni has consistently held leading positions in Kommersant’s lawyer rankings for bankruptcy. He was recognized as the Attorney of the Year in the banking and international law sector by the Best Lawyers international rating.

Project experience
- Provided legal support for bankruptcy proceedings for a major machine-building plant. The project resulted in debt reduction exceeding RUB 10 billion through the exclusion of affiliated creditors and successfully challenging a RUB 2.5 billion transaction with a top-3 bank.
- Represented a top-10 bank in bankruptcy proceedings involving a group of nuclear power plant construction companies. Successfully implemented a strategy to establish and hold a "profit center" liable for more than RUB 8 billion.
- Defended a top-10 bank against Russia's largest nanotechnology company in a damages claim related to over-lending practices. The identification of the actual causes of losses led to the complete dismissal of claims totaling RUB 1.2 billion.
- Represented the largest social network in the CIS in a dispute over big data usage. Secured a precedent-setting ruling defining the boundaries for the free use of social network users' online data.
- Provided full-service legal support in Russia's central corporate conflict of 2020. Secured a position on more than 20 disputes, which allowed the Client to sign settlement agreements in respect of more than RUB 19 billion in commodity assets.
- Represented a client in a dispute with the St. Petersburg Government regarding recovery of misappropriated real estate. Secured a Supreme Court precedent addressing real estate transferability and recovery rights in cases involving modified property boundaries.
- Represented a client against a top-10 bank in a dispute over losses from the theft of a letter of credit. Successfully proved the bank's fraud prevention measures were insufficient and established a correlation between the letter of credit and the underlying contract.
- Represented the largest Russian social network in a dispute with global record companies regarding compensation for infringement of copyright and the removal of unlawfully used tracks, and in a separate dispute over a data center.
- Represented advertising industry stakeholders in a Supreme Court case against the St. Petersburg Government and successfully challenged an auction before the Antimonopoly Service, resulting in its cancellation.
- Represented a client in a legal costs dispute with a top-10 bank, securing an unprecedented recovery sum.
